DSM Centre Breeds Competitive Advantage
DSM has announced the opening of its state-of-the-art Nutrition Innovation Center, which brings together an unprecedented array of capabilities in an advanced regional laboratory and provides decades of experience in nutritional and specialty ingredient solutions. Manufacturers of personal care, dietary supplement and food and beverage products will be able to benefit from this expertise to establish a competitive advantage faster than ever before. It is hoped that close collaboration between specialists and customers will facilitate the creation of breakthrough application concepts and prototypes, resulting in consumer relevant nutritional solutions that are brought to market faster than ever before.
Described by Rick Greubel, president, Human Nutrition and Health, DSM Nutritional Products, as a “one stop shop for innovation,” the centre is the latest addition to DSM’s global community of six networked application laboratories, designed to “help customers stay ahead in a highly competitive, constantly changing … marketplace” by providing them with convenient, personalized support, regardless of their location. Hans-Christian Ambjerg, president of DSM Food Specialties, summarized the appeal of the centre: “From this one location, DSM’s vast scientific knowledge will help manufacturers to achieve faster product development, enhanced operational and cost efficiencies and, ultimately, increased profits.”
